My Sunday got off to a perfect start with a dressage lesson on a beautiful spring morning here on Vashon Island. And that meant I got to break out my spiffy new Roeckl "Laila" Suntan Gloves and take them for a test ride. I always ride with gloves, especially in the cooler months, but in the hot summer months, I’ve struggled to find a pair that didn’t make my hands hot and sweaty so was thrilled when I discovered the new Suntan Glove. Designed to be super ventilating but also to allow the sun in a bit so you don’t end up with the typical equestrian tan: tan arms and white hands.

And they did not disappoint. Form-fitting and lightweight ( I’d rather ride sans gloves than with bulky gloves ), so I could really feel the reins, and mesh panel on top kept my hands perfectly comfortable and the palms were nice and tacky for good rein grip. AND they’ll be perfect for my African Horse Safari trip in September with Ride Botswana! 🧤 ✈️🦏🐘🦓🐅🐎
